Overview

In November of 2014, the March of Dimes joined with Washington University in St. Louis to launch the third prematurity research center aimed exclusively at finding the unknown causes of preterm birth. This web site announces the March of Dimes Prematurity Research Center at Washington University in St. Louis and demonstrates the commitment and enthusiasm of accomplished directors, investigators, and faculty members as they come together in this transdisciplinary effort to solve the mysteries of preterm birth.

In 2014, the March of Dimes teamed with Washington University in St. Louis to establish the March of Dimes Prematurity Research Center at Washington University in St. Louis, the nation’s third transdisciplinary research center dedicated solely to examining, identifying, and preventing the causes of premature birth.

This unique research and technology enterprise of program directors, co-investigators, and faculty members across Washington University in St. Louis, Texas A&M, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and University of Pennsylvania will collaborate, in partnership with the other Centers, to identify the causes of premature birth.
